Introduction PSBB School for Special Children
Padma Subramaniam Bala Bhavan School for Special Children is a not-for-profit organisation set up in 2015, dedicated to empowering the lives of children and young adults with Specific Learning Disability (SLD) and Intellectual Disability (ID). We provide an individualised hands-on learning and holistic programme, thus enabling our students to be proud participatory stakeholders in society.
The Special school is run by Indira Arumugam Charity Trust along with this the trust also run the normal School in the name of Padma Subramaniam Bala Bhavan Matric.Hr.Sec.School from the year 1993. This main supports the special children are allowed to sit with normal children. They were given all the therapy and the school education. We are the one among few school giving such kind of inclusive education in the nation.
We have come to the conclusion that there is no alternative to consistent hard work and cooperative efforts. With the change in the structure of Padma subramaniam Bala Bhavan school for special children let us start a new beginning and together bring succor and well being to the community of the disabled. I have no doubt that they will bring the best in us and we in turn can give them dignity, self reliance and help them to occupy a place of pride in our community. Let us work in union to achieve this noble objective in our lifetime”

A special Educator in a Special school to provide instructions and guidance, support to the children with special needs to participate in regular classroom without any barrier
Provide instructions to the class teacher how to manage the child, communicate with the child as well as handling and teaching methods.
To monitor the child [student] performance as well as behavior frequently.
If the child gets emotionally distributed in the classrooms, take the student to the resource room and provide releasing or calming activities.
Help the Class teacher or supporting teacher by providing guidance in class room management
The special educator will assess the current performance level of the student.
After assessment, goals [Individualized Educational Plan] will be set based on their student’s ability.,
Give support to parents by making frequent parent’s meeting to tell the performance, behaviour of the student.
To provide remedial education to assist students achieve expected competencies in academics like Literacy and Numeracy
Planning with class teachers to modify curriculum for the student.
Maintaining student’s record of performance, curriculum accommodations and modifications.
Co- coordinating with peer tutors. Students have any medical issues.
To implement behaviour modification technique if the child [students] having any behavioural issues.
