The founder correspondents of the Trust Mr. S. Arumugam, Flying Officer (Retd), He is the winner of President’s Award Twice of his excellent service to the nation and he has got citation as “AN ASSET TO THE NATION” now, he is doing yeomen service to the society.

During the year 2015, because of ageing the Founder of Chairman of Trust Mrs. Indira Arumugam and the Founder Trustee of Mr.S. Arumugam had to retire.

The responsibility is further handed over by an amendment to the Trust deed dated 11.09.2015 Registered document no. 353/2015 trustee and secretary of the Trust Mr.A.Radhakrishnan was assigned by full responsibility and to new Trustee were inducted by name of Ms. G.Anitha and Mr.G.Ganeshkumar

The founder chairman of the trust is – Mrs. Indra Arumugam

The founder chairman of the trust is Mrs. Indra Arumugam, a Philanthropist; she has been awarded by Tamil Nadu Nalvazhinilayam, the award and Seerkarunai Mamani for her benevolent service to the society, she is also helping the poor and needy through the trust.

The secretary of the trust is Kalvi Peroli – Dr. A. RadhaKrishnan, M.Com, BEd, M.Phil., Ph.D

The secretary of the trust is Kalvi Peroli Dr. A. RadhaKrishnan, M.Com, BEd, M.Phil, Ph.D, He is the champion of the poor and the needy. He carries out the orders of the chairman and the correspondent of the trust; he also contributes with his novel ideas to the welfare of the poor and the needy. Moreover he believes that Government alone cannot solve all the issues of the people but also Non – Governmental organizations should extend their support to Government and society, Dr.A. Radha Krishnan, is doing his best to lend a hand to the society. For an example, he gives employment opportunities to many visually challenged individuals. Having worked in many reputed Eng Ele, GECPESIL and Padma Shashdhri Bala Bhavan Senior Scondary School, he has innate managerial Skills which helped indra Arumugam Charity Trust excels in its all ventures.

He was born in 29.08.1964 from early age he very active and goal setter by nature in his college days he had interacted our former Prime Minister Honorable Sri Chandrasekhar.

What We Do

Child Development

The trust involves its self through PSBB Mat Hr Sec School developing the child’s personality in holistic vision. It observes the development if the child physical, moral and educational spheres of their well being.

Women Development

Supporting women who are in economically downwards, widows and differently able women are given education; need based counseling for women, training and self employment opportunities are created also actualized their needs.

Trust’s role for visually challenged

To Employment opportunities for visually challenged and Multiple disabilities are taken care by the Trust.

Service to the Local Communities

Rural sanitation through construction of sanitation facilities in villages’ (low Cost toilets). Village health workers training programs, Medical camps, Blood donation camps, Eye donation awareness camps, creation of Employment opportunities for Rural Population below poverty line. The local people educated about vermin-composing, environment safety and tree plantation Leprosy welfare works and Leprosy education camps are being conducted.

Ecological initiatives of the Trust

Tree Plantation, Soil and drinking water Analysis, soil and water conservation, rain water harvesting, camps on Land Development and Recovering of waste and Land with special concern on ecological improvement. Camps on Non-Conversional Renewable sources of energy – System. The trust arranges rallies to educate the public against the use of plastics, burning wastes, breaking coconuts and pumpkins in the middle if the roads etc

Road safety awareness programme by IACT

India loses more than 100 000 lives due to road traffic crashes every year. It has a road traffic fatality rate of 16.8 deaths per 100 000 population. Approximately half of all deaths on the country’s roads are among vulnerable road users – motorcyclists, pedestrians and cyclists. According to the recently published WHO Global Status Report on Road Safety, though there are laws on speed, seatbelt wearing and helmet wearing, and drink-driving, they are poorly enforced.

Working for the eradication of child laborer system

Childhood is the best time to develop spiritual, intellectual, emotional support. But this rule of nature has been crippled by the perilous child labour every child has his right to enjoy his childhood. But in spite of this a few children are forcefully put to work throughout the world about 250million Children are child laborer. Due to poverty poor parents put their children to work in order to supplement the family’s economic status. This conceals the talent and interests in them. Their urge to go to school is dismissed by their parents. This makes the nation lose a few creative minds.

Management of the crèches for children

A crèche or daycare is a place where babies, toddlers and young children can play, learn, enjoy meals and rest. There will be opportunities to paint, listen to stories, play music, be creative and enjoy free play, where the children can choose what they would like to do. They will also be able to play with other children, and often there will be outside activity areas like a splash pool and sand pit. There may be separate rooms for different age groups, partly so that the babies are not disturbed by active toddlers, and also because there are different staffing ratios according to the age of the children.
